Jyl C. Woolfolk, a Commander in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, is a Senior Management Analyst/Team Lead at the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response under the US Department of Health and Human Services. In this position, she serves as the Team Lead for the Division of National Advisory Committees.
Jyl is the former Associate Director of FedStrive, a comprehensive, integrated employee health and wellness program offered by Federal Occupational Health. She has more than 10 years of private sector experience in social and cause-related marketing and program monitoring/evaluation, having served as an Account Supervisor for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and a Senior Associate at GMMB.
Jyl holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion/Disease Prevention from George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Morgan State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a member of the Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society.
When she is not serving as a public health practitioner, Jyl freelances as a voice over artist. For more than 15 years she has amassed a diverse body of work through myriad radio, television, interactive/online, animation and film projects for clients throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Lebanon, India, United Arab Emirates, and Australia.
